So I'm posting the sequel to ASFS pretty soon- Go Lost or Go Home. Chapter 1 will be out by the weekend. (Hopefully). Rated M! And this time the chapters will have names! *gasp*

However, I've had a really slow day at work and I've got photoshop and indesign to mess around with- so i created a little pr campaign for GLGH. lol. I'm an idiot. But my Lj needed a serious revamp and why not shamelessly plug at the same time?? :D

So I'm sitting here in my favorite hole-in-the-wall coffee shop, trying desperately to add some meat to by skeletally thin chapter 21, which I said I'd have done by next week. Hee hee, we'll see if I can live up to my promise. So far, not much head way. My brain has turned off, it seems. You think that the four cups of coffee I've had in the past hour would have helped with the creative flow... hrm. Perhaps if I people watch, it will spark my creativity....

There's a group of teenagers sitting in the right hand corner of the place, all of them drinking a frozen whipped pseudo coffee beverage of some sort. You know, because this coffee shop is typically a college hang out place, as it's two seconds away from campus and seems to typically house those that breathe in toga parties and textbooks on a daily basis, I'm mildly surprised. Sure, I came to hang out here a couple of times in high school- and I always thought I was cool. But it's getting late in the central time zone... those kiddies need to go home soon- if they have any kind of a curfew.

Then of course there's the intellectual english major sitting in the other corner. Horn rimmed glasses and corduroy blazer included, dutifully spilling out some type of poetry for a literature class all the while sipping on his, what I'm guessing to be, chamomile tea. I'm going to try not to look in that direction. English majors are one of my biggest vices. I'm currently reminding myself that I don't need a boyfriend at the moment and I'm focusing on finishing school. Graduation is the number one goal, Amber, so look away from the English major. Anytime I start to stare too long at one of his type I try to remember that he'll probably never be able to do anything with his degree anyway, and I'll end up having to buy the groceries, no matter how good he looks in those glasses. *sighs*

Let's look straight ahead instead. This is surprsing. In the middle of the coffee shop sits a man that looks to be in his sixties, reading some type of book while casually taking sips of his black coffee. No frills for him, it seems. Interesting. Ever since starting this little hairspray fic I've had the strangest inclination to go up to people in their sixties and ask what their high school experience was like. God, I'm a dork. But some real life perception might do my story good, no? I mean ,come on, if you want a good portrayal of what Link might be like, there's only so much introspection you can gain from watching youtube clips of interviews with Zac Efron. Sure, he played Link in the movie, but he can't know everything. He's younger than I am!

Okay, so people watching isn't helping me. I don't have enough guts to go up to the old dude and interview him, and the english major is doing things to me. *sighs and closes notebook* Perhaps the coffee shop is not as stimulating as I thought it would be.

On an ending note, the high tomorrow is supposed to be a melting 8 degrees! I love Nebraska.
